November 2, 2007 Louisville, KY I met Bro. Rodney at the corner of Dixie Hwy and St. Andrews Church Rd. where he normally does his street preaching to take some pictures of him for his website. I am always encouraged when I stop by to see Bro. Rodney and his friend, Bro. George out on the corner preaching the Gospel. Whether or not you agree with what they are doing is irrelevant. I often ask those who criticize street preachers, "So what are you doing to reach this lost and dying world for Jesus Christ?" The typical answer is, "Um, uh..." Most have simply decided to just "live the life" and hope that somebody will see Jesus in their eyeball instead of boldly proclaiming the "Good News". An amazing thing happened while I was leaving. I circled through the Frisch's parking lot and came back up to the traffic signal at the corner of St. Andrews Church Rd and Dixie Hwy with my window rolled down for one last picture. As I came to a stop I noticed that Rodney was talking with a young lady and I could hear the conversation. He was asking her if she would like to pray a prayer of salvation. I quickly took a photo. Rodney began leading her in a prayer of salvation. As the light turned green for my lane of traffic I heard Rodney belt out on the bullhorn, "126 Bro. John, 126!" I smiled and drove home.
