September 22, 2006 - It was a stormy night and we were going to meet at the eXtreme Skate Park, but when we showed up there were only three people at the park! We decided to relocate to the Highlands on Bardstown Rd. Danny, Mark, Sylvester, John Kent, JK's friend Jason, Daniel and 10 people (1 adult and 9 youth) from his church and myself showed up to take the Gospel to the streets. All 16 of us split up into four teams, prayed and headed out into the damp night in different directions. My team handed out many tracts, did multiple One2One's and were eventually driven to the Mid-City Mall by the rain. We were soaked! As I was about to enter the mall, I stopped one young man on his way out and asked him what he thought would happen after he died. He said that he would go to Heaven. I asked him how he knew that and he was unable to provide an answer. There was literally silence for about a minute! While I was waiting for an answer I noticed that he was wearing a local parochial school t-shirt and also had a medallion of Mary on a long chain that hung down just beyond his sternum. I took him through the Law and he admitted that he could be headed to Hell if what the Bible said was true. I asked him if he knew what God had done so he wouldn't have to go to Hell. Again, he could not tell me. I was completely flabbergasted! Remember, you can't tell a book by its cover. I proceeded to share the grace of God with him. I told him to consider what we had discussed and handed him an "Are You Good Enough To Go To Heaven?" tract. He thanked me and stepped off into the night. Our team stepped into the mall and collected our thoughts. I noticed a couple coming our way so I pulled out a Ten Commandments coin and did some sleight of hand for Adrianna. I handed her the coin and then handed her boyfriend, Richard, a Million Dollar bill. As I began to open God's Divine Law, I discovered that Adrianna was a Christian, but Richard was not. As a matter of fact, Richard was angry with God. As I probed a bit deeper, I discovered that Richard was angry over the loss of his grandmother at the age of 68. I asked him at what age would he be comfortable with his grandmother dying...he said, "80". He further explained that he wasn't going to go to church or read his Bible. Richard admitted beyond a shadow of doubt that if he were to die that he would end up in Hell, but that fact did not concern him. I pleaded with him to please consider that eternity was at stake, but he continued to reluctantly shake his head. I noticed that Adrianna would periodically shake her head in disbelief of her boyfriend's rebellion toward the Creator of the heavens and the earth. Before leaving, I wanted to make sure that Richard understood that, according to the Bible, he would end up in Hell and that he must repent and place his faith and trust in Jesus Christ. As we were about to part company, I asked Richard if we could pray for him. He said, "sure." Adrianna, Richard, another team member and myself grabbed hands and I was about to pray for Richard...WHEN ALL OF THE SUDDEN!....Okay, make a decision below...trust me, it's really simple to do.
